Textiles (MA)

About

  • Jingxi Zhao (b.2001) is an artist specializing in textiles, printed textiles, fashion, and sustainability.
The work breaks away from the traditional way of drawing and looks to present an artistic style that retains traditional aesthetics but is also modern and creative. By combining modern colors with traditional ink painting, it is hoped that a unique visual effect can be created.

  • Plants are a universal energy that grows in the subconscious and spiritual regions of human beings, possessing “their own souls and consciousness”. Through my work, I try to establish a connection between natural plants and human beings, triggering awareness of the power of nature and healing the viewer’s psyche, and that plants will be a possibility for the connection between human beings and nature.
