Camille Provost
About
Camille Provost is an Ivorian and French visual artist based in London . Inspired by
the writings of Édouard Glissant, she draws on the concepts of creolization
and rhizome to express the complexities of her mixed heritage.
“My work explores how to visually articulate the concept of identity through
both ancestral and present kinship. Drawing on my personal experience as a
mixed individual of Ivorian and French heritage, I aim to express the
complexities and beauty that arise from cultural entanglements.”
– Camille
Cryptic and sculptural, Camille’s work is crafted through
processes of accumulation, patchworks and the association of disparate
materials.
