Tamsin Williams-Howes
About
Tamsin Williams-Howes (b. 2000, UK) is a British artist based in London. Through her work, she explores the relationship between the human body, health, and medicine. Her experience with her father’s diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis initially sparked her interest in health and she has built a broader curiosity around discovering how our bodies interact with and are impacted by our environment.
Her practice aims to challenge the ways of understanding the body by reimagining it as a collection of smaller worlds and environments. Through her art, Tamsin hopes to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the human body’s complexity. By transforming medical imagery into narratives, she hopes to demystify anatomy and inspire a sense of wonder and curiosity. Her work is a celebration of the intricate and resilient nature of our bodies, reflecting on the delicate balance between health, illness, and the environments we inhabit.
Tamsin completed her MA in Contemporary Art Practice at the Royal College of Arts, London, and holds a BA(Hons) from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London.
