About

Siyao Li is a visual experimenter. She is good at using multidimensional graphic language and moving image to express and criticize some things. Sunshine is her best artistic companion.

Today we live in a world where artificial intelligence is gradually taking over some jobs and roles. At the same time, the development of capitalism and urbanization has led to the felling of a large number of natural buildings, resulting in a decrease in human connection with nature and exacerbating the threat to the natural environment and human life. In addition, the life cycle of both humans and plants is short, so in the future, people may experience nature through technological simulations.

My project combines moving images and books to critically examine technology as a mediator and participant in the natural world. This is different from the traditional view that technology and nature are in opposition. This work advocates harmonious integration, criticizes the view that technological progress will inevitably lead to the destruction of the natural environment, and proposes that technology can enhance our understanding and interaction with nature.
