Yun is an animator and illustrator based on London(UK) and China, specializing in both 2D and stop-motion animation. Yun’s work delves into themes of emotion, mental health, social issues and psychology. She creates compelling visual narratives that invite viewers to explore complex and impactful topics.
During their MA program, Yun created a stop-motion animation titled “Bound,” which delves into the theme of artistic development and its constraints. This project marked a significant expansion of Yun’s expertise, as they had primarily focused on 2D animation during their undergraduate years. Notably, Yun’s 2D animation “Center of Lens,” blend artistic development with evocative storytelling. This thematic focus reflects Yun’s commitment to using animation as a medium to explore and communicate complex and impactful topics.
