The tent is an experimental video that showing the sense of alienation and dislocation between international students and first-generation female immigrants as a result of dramatic environmental change. With the research journey of psychoanalysis, it represents the gap of self- continuity and self narrative, and the paradoxes they hold.

Won't you remember me is a handmade archiving book that offers a third perspective on the artist's romantic trajectory through retrospective writing. The artist employs asemic writing and graphic manipulation in an attempt to internalise fleeting emotions and memories into the urban traces, thereby attempting to fill the gaps in self-narrative caused by the dramatic environmental changes. The project touches on the tragic logical paradoxes in self-narrative that have finally been discovered.

No.219 is an image of women derived from the artist's experience of severing her self-identity. It tells the story of the repression and pain experienced by women born in the 90's while growing up in East Asian culture, and the subsequent alienation of their spiritual bodies after being exploited by dogma for a long period of time. The artist digitally reconstructs the images from containers, frames, flowers and gestures through the connection of symbolic language, adopting a crystalline geometric approach to form the spiritual matrix of Cyborg.

No.? is a sculpture that showing the long journey of alienation and self-reconstruction as a woman growing up under the dogma of East Asian culture. This self-portrait-like project rethinks material properties, materiality and the journey of the object, conducting a series of experiments, reflections and critiques on the alienation of female identity in a multi-dimensional space of artistic expression, and re-examining the relationship between individual female identity and East Asian society. Iris is a London-based multimedia artist.

From the visual communication background, she expanded her practice from graphical space to other dimensions continuing to try to convey feminist information to the world.

She focuses on weaving her ‘free-assemblage making’ art practice with autoethnography, psychology, and sociology together, considering the materiality of our world, and showing female situations from various special and unique perspectives.
