Wenjing Sun is a highly creative designer who is pursuing a postgraduate degree at the Royal College of Art. As a designer who specialises in combining digital technology with fashion, she continues to explore the fusion of digital technology and clothing, intertwining the traditional with the modern in her creative journey.
Wenjing Sun’s keen attention to detail makes her work visually expressive and artistic. She firmly believes that fashion is not just about superficial splendour, but can carry deep stories and emotions, conveying a unique aesthetic and depth of thought.
Graduation Design
Wenjing Sun’s graduation project explores the combination of 3D printing technology and embroidery in a unique and profound way, telling a story of female empowerment. Her inspiration came from a deep reflection on a series of famous cases that took place in China. In these cases, the victims were mostly ordinary women who were targeted for crimes for various reasons, and their life stories were often distorted and labelled by society and the media. Wenjing reveals this injustice through her design work, hoping to convey a deep social critique and provoke the viewer to rethink the identity and stories of female victims.
