Haotang Sun
About
My name is Sun Haotang, and I was born in China in 2000. From a young age, I have been fascinated by art, and this passion has only deepened as I have grown older. As a child, I began learning to paint, which provided me with a way to express my inner world and cultivated my sense of aesthetics and creativity. As I grew up, I decided to study design at university to further pursue my artistic dreams. During my time at university, I explored various design styles and techniques, eventually discovering a particular fondness for retro-futurism and naturalism. To me, these two styles are not only unique and captivating but also perfectly embody the harmony between humans and nature, as well as the imagination of the future.
In my design work, I strive to blend the sci-fi elements of retro-futurism with the simplicity of naturalism, creating pieces that are both avant-garde and close to nature. I believe this fusion can not only bring visual impact but also provoke deep reflection on nature and the future.
I particularly enjoy using acrylic sheets and ceramics as my primary design materials. The transparency and modernity of acrylic, combined with the warmth and natural texture of ceramics, bring a unique aesthetic and tactile quality to my work. Additionally, I like to combine laser cutting with handmade techniques in the production process. Laser cutting ensures precision and modernity, while handmade craftsmanship imbues each piece with unique warmth and personality.
Over the years, through continuous learning and practice, I have accumulated a wealth of design experience and gradually developed my own style and philosophy. I hope that through my work, I can provide both visual and emotional enjoyment while conveying my love for art and nature. In the future, I will continue to explore and innovate in the field of design, striving to create more stunning works.
