About
Po-Yen Wu is a designer with industrial design background. With the interest of conceptual design, he sees product as a medium to communicate issues to offer public a different perspective to see the world.
Currently, he rethink the problem behind mass production and raised an idea of what if products are “grown” instead of “manufactured”. Through a fictional story, he designed a series of furniture that grows. The idea is to raise public’s attention of wasting resource and to imagine a more sustainable world through interacting with his design.
During his journey at RCA, he focuses on exploring the possibility of product. His design starts with designing daily object and use them as a way to reply different issues. He believed design can not only solve problems but also playing a role to raise questions.
