About

Yudian Guo is a multidisciplinary textile designer specializing in Textiles, Digitalization, Fashion, and Sustainability. As a futurist designer, her creative inspiration stems from exploring the relationship between humans and nature.

This project reflects the human response to anxiety, transforming physiological changes into fabric and structural design elements to visually present emotional fluctuations. Viewers can intuitively feel the impact of emotions on the body, prompting deeper reflection on emotional states and their physical manifestations.

The project combines design innovation with artistic exploration, encouraging people to reflect on their emotions and bodily responses.

Introduction:Inspired by animals curling up when sensing danger, with skin changes like goosebumps and hair standing on end, I studied animal skeletal structures and transformed them into movable fabric structures. Using a GSR sensor, I analyzed emotional states and used TouchDesigner to create motion graphics that dynamically reflect emotions. These visuals were then translated into 3D graphics, printed on fabric, and combined with skeletal structures to create a movable installation.
