About

As a multidisciplinary creative practitioner with a background in fashion design, visual design, branding design and art history, I hold an MEd degree from the Royal College of Art and a BA degree from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Frosinone, Italy.I have served as the Visual Arts Design Director at a design company and as an Art Lecturer at an art university. My work explores art and design through multiple dimensions, focusing on innovative and unconventional approaches that foster unique and distinctive expressions.  Going forward, I will continue my research in art, design, and education as the director of an independent art and design space.

Research Project

As Foucault observed in Discipline and Punish: The Birth of the Prison, even in our seemingly multicultural society, individuals are subjected to meticulously standardized and regulated norms of behavior. “The Fragile Cage” workshop provided an educational method to explore these constraints and their impact on artistic creativity.

Participants were guided to explore the impact of their environments on their creative processes, revealing a complex interplay between individual consciousness and external pressures. The workshop’s unique structure, including the symbolic use of “four sheets of paper” and a reflective “fifth sheet,” provided a space for participants to confront and articulate their inner thoughts and emotions. This approach highlighted the challenges and possibilities of achieving authentic expression amidst various constraints, offering a nuanced perspective on the role of consciousness in artistic practice.
