About

Dihan Fu is a designer who studied urban design for four years and participated in practical projects. A year ago, she moved to London to continue her studies in urban design at the Royal College of Art. In 2024, she explored the urban spaces of Jericho with DS1 members, focusing on the community and cultural history of Jericho.

Her project is presented in various ways. For example, Hand-drawn video highlights importance of water in Jericho community. Later, she discovered that cultural worldviews subtly influence the cultural experiences of visitors from different backgrounds, with individual perspectives often differing. Tourists may hold varying subjective views of a destination, occasionally resulting in cultural bias. Therefore, she and her team utilized virtual reality technology and physical models to showcase how different travelers perceive and remember Jericho from various viewpoints. By capturing these subjective views through local architectural elements and descriptive imagery, she allowed participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the city from different tourism perspectives, providing the audience with an interactive experience that blends the virtual and the real.

Dihan is passionate about intervening in design through the creation of visual scenes and has a strong interest in various types of design.
