Models of the artist residency spaces from my hotel design located in Shoreditch. Each model reflecting the main material that each artists uses: wood, canvas and wax.

Photo from my Media Studies course. Inspired by Ana Mendieta’s Imagen de Yagul (1973), Toyed Resilience offers a personal exploration of my journey through a complex childhood. Childhood toys, arranged on my body, serve as material witnesses and non-human narrators, challenging representations of resilience. Each toy speaks to a complex moment.

My amend project from primer. A broken teapot that became a planter, held together by clay and a blue bungee cord.

Hi! My name is Amanda. I am originally from south Texas. I love painting, cooking and hanging out with my cat, Moose. As a designer, I believe we have a responsibility to create spaces and experiences that positively impact people. At the RCA, I rediscovered my passion for art and the seamless blend of art and design. My main drive is to create work that elevates the human experience, making people’s lives better through thoughtful, beautiful design. I am excited to continue exploring the possibilities of art and design, always aiming to make a positive difference in the world.
