About

<Silent Barriers>

The project creates a fictional future world-AVALON, a privileged society with severe class divisions. The aim is a critique of architecture’s (in)visible complicity in spatial injustice. The project wants to express that the highest level of class blockade is to deprive people of the right to full information, thus manipulating the reality of extreme imbalance.

Therefore, AVALON is divided into two parts: Austinge and Sophilia. Austinger is a totalitarian society, where power and class are embodied by a top-to-bottom laddered form of social architecture. All social order and principles in Sophilia are constructed by Austinger, an implicit and extreme manifestation of class manipulation to fool the masses.
