杨焕聪是一位生物媒体艺术家，2022 年毕业于四川农业大学，主修数字媒体艺术。杨目前在英国皇家艺术学院攻读艺术与人文硕士学位，专注于影像、装置和互动，并以对人体和灵魂作为不同对象的观察为基础。
她认为人是肉体和灵魂的结合体，或者说是意识在非物质条件下的结合体。她进一步断言，死亡是终止肉体和灵魂之间联系的手段。她认为，当肉体在一系列事件中死亡时，灵魂就会与肉体分离。如果灵魂是一个非物质的实体，它就不能被实体的过程摧毁。
她的视频作品和装置《我们是永生的吗》探讨了基于苏格拉底灵魂不朽的主题，探讨了信息时代背景下当代媒体对个人灵魂的影响以及虚拟和物理空间中个性的形成。
