Roisin Sullivan
About
Roisin Sullivan is a multidisciplinary artist that is based in London, predominantly working in film, sound, performance, and installations within her work. Sullivan has studied Central St Martins (2019) and Royal College of Art (2024) and explores repetition and the absurd while discussing equity around labor, class, gender, and communication within her practice.
During her time at the Royal College of Art, her practice derives from a socioeconomic perspective of one’s self within arts from a working-class and neurodivergent perspective. Previously shortlisted for the Xhibit 2018 Award and Holy Port Prize in 2017, Sullivan has recently shown in venues such as Bermondsey Project Space, Grove Gallery, Candid Arts Trust, and Bomb Arts Factory.
Her work was included in group shows at the Tate Late (April 2024) as part of the Royal College of Art and Montez Press and Tate Exchange with Central St Martins School of Art in 2018.
Roisin Sullivan’s practice has focused on performance, sound, and film, where the roles are explored between spectator, performer, and participant, manipulating the work with the use of repetition and the absurd. The theme of absurdity within their practice is married with anthropomorphic language placed upon their medium: their body.
