Contemporary Art Practice (MA)

About

Visual order in space, with an emphasis on repetition, stability, and predictability, is the focus of my obsessive pursuit. My practice begins with the grid systems of graphic design and explores the dynamic order within spaces and the latent vitality in static materials. The recurring symbols of repetition and stacking in my work suggest the activity of life. However, this extreme stability is always susceptible to sudden moments of collapse.

I have gradually realised that the repetitive act of stacking l engage in seems to be merely waiting for that moment of collapse, before transitioning into the next self-repetition.

Recently, I have been practicing conscious loss of control.
