Xiaoli O. Chang 常
About
Venturing in look (out) for labels, Xiaoli O. Chang 常 proclaims position in a “transdisciplinary” practice; a juxtaposition utilised to simulate conceptual participation with- and without corporeal support. Chang presents work tinged by themes of beauty; selected as a tool aimed to soothe-, deceive- and expose to reveal uncomfortably familiar truths.

leaveTouch once — harmless, you think. “Irregular,” you say. Touch once — it burns, burns, burns. A fire would be kinder, it leaves no doubt. Instead, left with this. Insistent as eyelids close. Persistent is the presence. Muttering: no, no, no.
Xiaoli O. Chang 常 invites you to experience the ghost of touch in a safe space. Lie to yourself, down in bed. Here, you leave when you want to.
(Please remove shoes before going to bed)
