About
My focus lies in the collective creation and imagination of alternative future histories through collaborative efforts, where individuals move beyond their roles as sole creators and collectively develop and rethink knowledge and its production. I aim to utilize the curatorial moment to create an active space where disciplines intermingle and influence one another, forming new alternative knowledge production. In my practice, the curatorial serves to destabilize, dismantle, and re-mantle. Employing a method of curating that proposes a polyphonic and multidirectional practice I seek to find ways of acting outside of the echo chamber and practice de-centering of the human, but also the decentering of the individual to promote and facilitate collective action. My practice seeks to create a space where differences are not only acknowledged but also harnessed as opportunities for growth and transformation. In these spaces, time is stretched beyond the past and present to allow for the creation of a collective alternative future. Through my practice, I aim to explore how curating can rework existing narratives, collapsing distances between disciplines, cultures, and people.
