About

Amber is an edu-curator with a passion for sustainable fashion and technology. Her MA dissertation explored the role of sustainable fashion exhibitions in educating visitors on fashion design in recent years. She contrasted curatorial imaginings of sustainability with public policy and contemporary activism in Britain and the Netherlands. The research was funded by the Pasold Research Activity Grant Award.

Amber’s curatorial work uses a multidisciplinary approach that celebrates community-focused narratives. She curated the ‘We are Rooting for You’ (2024) exhibition, building a community of creatives who explore their (hi)stories through crafts and design. In ‘Do You Buy This?’ (2023) she co-curated an exhibition that considered commodified intersectional feminism in the work of 30 artists and designers.

Amber has published a research-led article for the Design History Society and contributed to the V&A Blog. She also organised a fashion symposium, ‘Fashion Becoming’ (2024), in collaboration with the London College of Fashion, Parsons Paris, and RCA.
