About

Sachiko Shimojo is an artist born in Tokyo Japan. After graduating from Chelsea College of Art Graduate Diploma Fine Art in 2022, she studied at RCA. She has questioned the issue of gender, and the boundaries of human consciousness (Under the influence of social norms and an abundance of information, to what extent can we say that it is our true intention) through the expression of the human body and portraits, rather than simply the surface and shape of them. Her themes are shifting to deeper and more internal ones, such as her own memories and human existence, but she has not lost her experimental spirit and is constantly searching for new expressions.
