About

Vlado Nedkov is an American-Bulgarian artist, draftsman, and maker. His expanded painting practice tackles themes of queer masculinity and mediated imagery in online communities, as well as the precariousness of memory, experience, and visuality through painting, video, sculpture, and installation.

Systems and constraints are the unifying thread in his work and serve as a tool for making sense of the world.

Through de- and re-contextualizing narratives, he aims to shift a viewer’s perception of what “is”.

Rather than focusing on a specific outcome, he is concerned with following a process and the act of discovery.
