About

Xiaoran Liu is a Chinese artist whose work is deeply influenced by conceptual art. Her previous projects have seen her experimenting with various media and images, creating a series of works that blend images, materials, videos, and installations, reflecting her personalized exploration of materials and forms.

During her studies in the UK, Xiaoran developed an interest in the materiality of photography. Concurrently, her explorations led to a shift in her images from the figurative to the abstract. Her latest works feature complex perceptual layers, and she is currently fascinated by photography’s ability to create illusions, striving to embrace the fluid, ambiguous punctum within her images.
