About
How do you build intimacy with others? The various frictions that have occurred in my life with friends this year in London have made me start to think about what has led to this situation, when someone first intruded into my world from a quiet distance I was pleasantly surprised to have someone approach me but at the same time a sense of loss of control caused by the possibility of losing someone else set in, accompanied by a panic that I was always desperate to hold on to something to the point that I would often use familiar self-sabotaging or manipulative methods to find a sense of control. Slowly I began to search for the reasons why I was like this, trying to find answers to help me learn how to build long-lasting intimate relationships with others.
