Chingching Yuen

Print (MA)

About

Chingching’s artworks mostly in the media of printmaking and drawing, he graduated from BA fine art: drawing in Camberwell University of the Art London, so drawing has become the main way of thinking and recording to him. People will also see a lot of sketchy drawing in prints, and drawing will always be the starting point of his creation.

Chingching is very interested in the concept of life and time. Daily life is the best expression of how one passes one’s time, so most of his creative inspiration and content comes from life, and he enjoy the strong connection between his work and himself. Being influenced by Buddhism in his childhood and being taught to be a peaceful person may also be a reason for him to pay more attention to himself and the things around him.

How to use time as a creative material? How to embody timeliness in work? How to reflect the individual difference of time…? It’s something he has been practicing.
