About
Imon Phukan explores the ignored spaces like loneliness, aghony, exiled and the difficulties of migration and continuous movement, and its effect in a being physically and mentally. She weaves forest of self search through exploration of sizes, heights and materiality in her works series, this exploration stems in her own experience of travelling between different countries and new places. Her works explores the notions of hot tears and continuous digging of mystery in the textiles she collects.
she uses bright colours to give importance to the forgotten emotions in her painting and sculptures.
