STATMENT

Within my practice, I examine the relationship between anatomy, self, perception and touch. My work looks at interior landscapes with a tender gaze that encourages a slower looking. In doing so, I highlight the ephemeral & invisible as I revisit fleeting images, drawing from interior perspectives, the everyday and hidden structures within the body. In these imagined landscapes, I channel the complexity of the sensory world through colour and acts of veiling and doubling. I do this with paint, print, 3D forms and digital environment building. The work oscillates between figuration /abstraction and physical/digital. Rather than choosing a fixed position, I prioritise fluidity, resulting in work that comes from a cycle of creation, fracture and reassembly.
