About

Life Line (2024)

When you are deceived by an artificial reality, do you have the courage to change it all?

The theme of this film:
When restricted and deceived by her race, the main character, Jin, finally makes her choice and pays the price for it. In the face of Jin’s defiance, the race also give their answers. The film hopes that through the different choices made by the two sides of the divide and the results of those choices, some people in the same situation will be inspired to understand the cost of their choices and still be able to take that step forward.

The film is a short personal animation directed and produced by Ma Xiaowei, using a purely fictional overhead worldview to express the main theme of the story.
