Tell stories and explore problems in digital form. In the project “The Evolution of Solar Eclipse”, the work immerses the audience in a multidimensional narrative space through immersive virtual imagery, experiencing legendary situations about solar eclipses in different regional cultures.

The audience enters different spaces of solar eclipse phenomena through a symbolic “portal”. At each node of the trajectory line, the audience can see real-time data of solar eclipses in four corresponding areas, as well as legendary story scenes related to solar eclipses in that area. Four irregularly shaped trajectory lines interweave and extend in space, forming the walking path of the audience. Each trajectory line displays and metaphorically represents people’s understanding and imagination of solar eclipse phenomena in different regional cultures, interweaving in space and symbolizing the integration of cultural diversity. However, in today’s technological development, these legends are gradually being replaced by scientific analysis and data information, and the once vigorous imagination and cultural diversity are melting and merging in technological interpretation.
