Chao Liu is a visual artist from China. His artistic practices are driven by a critical analysis of anthropocentrism and its impacts on our planet. Chao’s work deeply explores issues such as natural crises, environmental ethics, animal rights, climate change, and the pivotal role humanity plays in these concerns. Through his practices, he aims to challenge and provoke thought about these pressing concerns.

Chao’s creative process is characterized by the integration of Mixed Reality (MR), Interactive Installation, Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI), and sound to produce multi-threaded narratives. This approach allows him to craft a layered and immersive storytelling experience that solidifies the narratives created through his practice. By using these multidimensional technologies, he seeks to forge a bridge between traditional storytelling and contemporary digital expression.

The essence of Chao’s work is to provide a novel digital platform for dialogues surrounding environmental and ethical dilemmas. Through this digital expression, he aspires to ignite reflection and encourage viewers to contemplate the intricate dynamics between humans and nature. His goal is to offer fresh perspectives and foster a deeper understanding of our environmental responsibilities and the urgent need to address these global challenges.
