Polina Ami Kosele
About
Polina is a visual designer and award-winning director working with multimedia tools to explore themes of identity, emotion, and mental health. Her background in video production, animation, and social content, combined with her interest in emerging forms of storytelling, led her to focus on immersive experiences in her MA Digital Direction at RCA.
She utilised Unreal Engine and Cinema 4D to produce work in Virtual Reality and 360 video, leading to the exhibition of her first RCA project, ‘Still Waters Run Deep,’ on the opening night of the IRCAM Forum 2024 at Césure in Paris.
Her graduate and ongoing project, ‘Baby Bag,’ offers a look inside a mother’s mind during the journey of pregnancy. Told through the prism of an asylum seeker in the UK, it unveils the ‘baggage’ of socio-political anxieties, from the least to most prevalent, that could accompany this journey in today’s unpredictable world.
