About

Shruti Nagaraj is a multimedia designer and photographer originally from Bangalore, India, now based in London. Her work blends sonic and visual art, focusing on documenting communities and ecological themes to create immersive experiences. Her project, “Eye of the Storm,” exhibited at the IRCAM Forum 2024, explores the unpredictability and spontaneous similarities in improvised violin performance and wind patterns through the use of ambisonics, film, and creative coding.

Shruti’s graduate project, “Ridley,” maps and documents food and gentrification in Dalston’s multicultural Ridley Road Market with support from Hackney Council. This project employs a multisensorial blend of live performance, field recordings, film, photography, and 3D scans. Additionally, Shruti has been recognized as an emerging talent, being selected for Diversify Photo’s “Up Next” roster of up-and-coming photographers.
