Information Experience Design (MA)

About

Xiao (b. 2000) is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the interaction between technological extrapolation and personal emotional experiences, suggesting possibilities for integrating technology and design with the human body. Xiao employs a futuring approach to speculate on how emotions and experiences evolve over time, transforming these evolutions into narrative designs, installations, crafts, and graphic design.

Xiao’s inspiration for EmoDigest comes from reflecting on the overwhelming influx of information we receive daily. While technological advancements enhance our efficiency, they also compel us to manage the growing anxiety caused by information overload.

Emotions, though abstract and difficult to quantify, what if we could visualize them…

EmoDigest offers users a tangible and visual method to manage and understand their emotions. By using an external ’emotional digestion system,’ individuals can process and digest daily information, transforming it into visual emotional entropy.
