About

I placed a highly private mobile phone and a toilet in the same space, creating a fictional story in which I found an unlocked phone in the public restroom of a bar and used this scenario to start a conversation. Through editing and rearrangement, I crafted a story resembling a social experiment. In this story, the phone serves as a “private space” exposed to the public, sparking curiosity and attempts to “peek” and break the boundaries of personal space. The character I play justifies this exploratory behavior in the name of art, trying to expose more issues through gradual exploration and dialogue.

I titled this film When I Found a Cellphone in a Bathroom.

As a mockumentary, the events and developments in the story are fictional. At the same time, it is also a true documentary about each of us exploring personal and societal boundaries.
