About
Jinhui Ge is an experienced industrial and product designer with extensive practice in design firms and consultancy teams. He excels at blending creativity with technical expertise, offering strategic and innovative ideas to collaborators and clients. Accumulated a large amount of industrial knowledge as a foundation in the Industrial Design programme of the undergraduate university, and then going through the Design Future programme of RCA, he has expanded his interdisciplinary practice and future thinking, focusing on future lifestyles. His skills encompass a wide range of design software and methodologies, and his work spans various fields including transportation, home electronics, and small industrial equipment. Jinhui is passionate about exploring different design domains and integrating commercial insights into his projects to meet market demands.
In 2050, as the issue of social isolation among Generation Z in urban China becomes increasingly prominent, Jinhui Ge envisions the future of companionship and emotional well-being through innovative wearable technology. Utilizing insights from psychology, AI, and user experience design, Jinhui Ge introduces Amor’s Echo—a multi-functional AI companion designed to alleviate loneliness and foster deep, meaningful human connections. The project leverages advanced AI capabilities to provide personalized emotional support, combining real-time data analysis with physical interaction through wearable devices. This project aims to address the growing societal challenge of social isolation, improve mental health, and enhance the quality of life for urban youth. Through Amor’s Echo, Jinhui Ge advocates for a future where technology bridges the gap between individuals, promoting a more connected and empathetic society.
