Yongyi Tang
About
Yongyi Tang is a design researcher and futurist from China, deeply passionate about fostering inclusive experiences, user research, and systems that can shape a better world. Employing a human-centered and systemic thinking approach, her independent research project “NuChi Campaign” leverages design futures to anticipate and mitigate potential environmental crises, striving to proactively address and prepare for these challenges.
She earned a master’s degree in Disability Design and Innovation from University College London and is currently pursuing an MDes in Design Futures at the Royal College of Art. This academic background equips her with a robust blend of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, enabling her to seamlessly integrate them into future-forecasting design practices. During her studies, she has had the privilege of working on projects addressing various disabilities, all aimed at enhancing human well-being. She has also collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive UX and service solutions.

- Human Well-being: Focusing on designing solutions that enhance the quality of life, physical health, and mental well-being of individuals and communities.
- Disaster Response: Creating innovative systems and services that improve preparedness, response, and recovery efforts in the face of natural and man-made disasters.
