Ankita Khanna, a multidisciplinary designer and entrepreneur grew up in Bhadohi, an industrial town in India known for its handmade carpets. Surrounded by craftsmanship and agricultural practices, she developed a passion for impactful design.
Ankita is a designer with experience in visual communication specialising in identity design, packaging, and web design building brands from the ground up, focusing on sustainability.
Her latest project, RAW Materials, transforms rice paddy straw into biodegradable composites for the fashion footwear industry. This initiative tackles the issue of straw burning in India and promotes a circular economy by providing eco-friendly alternatives for footwear components like midsoles, insoles, and soles.
Ankita’s work with RAW Materials showcases her commitment to sustainability and innovative design by helping brands achieve their green goals without compromising quality, setting a new wave for sustainability in fast fashion.
