About

Evelyn Ning Ma is a product and user experience designer with a solid background in product design from her four-year undergraduate studies. She is passionate about creating comfortable and engaging experiences, with a recent focus on inclusive design as the foundation of her approach. Evelyn believes that empathy is essential for any designer and is committed to understanding the emotions and needs of her users, which drives her pursuit of design excellence.

Her design process balances functionality with intrigue, always rooted in a deep understanding of user needs. By adhering to key design principles, Evelyn aims to create solutions that enhance usability while resonating emotionally, bringing both joy and thoughtful engagement to those who interact with her work.

In her project Brightse, Evelyn designed a comprehensive breast self-examination toolkit that empowers women to effectively gain health knowledge, increase awareness, and become familiar with their own health status, leading to greater confidence in their well-being. This toolkit provides women with a monthly opportunity to engage in a dialogue with their bodies, while also enabling them to take proactive care of their breast health.

Inside the box, users will find an instruction manual, a silicone educational touch model, a 100% natural rubber stamp for marking key areas on the breasts, a self-examination calendar, a leather ruler, and a follow-up tip card.
