About

Ishita Jain (Delhi, India) is a designer and curator with a passion for preserving and reimagining cultural heritage through innovative design. She focuses on creating meaningful interactions between people and everyday objects, enhancing their experience and connection with these items.

Her recent project involves developing craft kits that celebrate traditional Indian crafts, each kit spotlighting a unique craft from one of India’s states. By preserving the authentic essence of these crafts, Ishita aims to make them more accessible and relevant in today’s fast-paced world. These kits offer a hands-on experience that connects young minds with India’s rich heritage, ensuring that these timeless crafts are safeguarded for future generations. Her idea centers on archiving and reviving these traditional Indian crafts, providing materials that reflect and respect the craftsmanship passed down through generations, while allowing for creative evolution over time.

As a designer, Ishita Jain is driven by the belief that everyday objects can be transformed into vessels of cultural legacy and personal growth. Her work is dedicated to giving new meaning and purpose to traditional practices, integrating them into contemporary life in a way that is both educational and enduring.
