Hou Jialu is an award-winning designer renowned for his interdisciplinary approach and innovative fusion in design. He excels at integrating cultural heritage with cutting-edge technology to create cross-boundary designs that resonate with human societal desires.

Currently, Hou’s notable graduate design project at Design Products, the YunJian (Shawl) Aspirations Series, focuses on spinal health in future contexts, ingeniously combining wearable fashion accessories with an innovative seating system.

His collaborative graduate project with fashion accessory designer Yiming Pan (School of Design, Fashion MA) at the Fashion program, Branches, is an innovative clothing hanger designed to empower individuals with one arm to dress with dignity.
