About

“Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.”

― Archimedes

As a designer, Zhang Nan believes in the power of design as the fulcrum Archimedes spoke of, capable of moving the world. She holds that warm and engaging designs can bring people together and form a sufficiently long lever. At the right time and place, this can shift the world towards a better direction.

Her designs aim for emotional resonance and playfulness, drawing from the wisdom of nature to uncover human preferences and create natural attraction. With interactive features, her designs offer rich and profound user experiences. Her strong hands-on skills enable her to master manufacturing techniques and meticulously control every design detail.

Project: Touch♥Lights

Living in a highly connected era, many still feel isolated. Loneliness becomes a daily companion as physical and psychological solitude deepens, overwhelming individuals. How can we escape this cycle? Starting from contact, break the physical loneliness.

Touch♥Lights offer a solution by simulating physical interactions like handshakes, head touches, and hugs. These interactive lights respond to human touch, illuminating the space and time called loneliness with comforting and pleasurable contact, encouraging courage in the face of solitude.
