About

Pratibha Sharma is an Indian designer with a passion for creating pieces that connect with human emotions and foster meaningful interactions. Growing up in India, she was fascinated by how everyday objects could evoke feelings and tell stories, leading her to pursue a career in design. Her mission has always been to create pieces that not only look appealing but also touch the heart and spark conversations.

She believes design should serve a greater purpose, acting as a bridge between functionality and emotion to provide comfort and connection in daily life. This philosophy is at the core of her practice and is beautifully illustrated in her latest creation: a chair inspired by the comforting embrace of a loved one.

In today’s fast-paced, disconnected world, she sought to create something that offers warmth and emotional support, addressing the challenges of loneliness and body image. The chair’s soft, anthropomorphic form invites users to feel embraced and secure, transforming the act of sitting into a nurturing experience. It challenges conventional design norms by prioritizing comfort and connection over mere aesthetics.

Her design approach is deeply personal, drawing from her own experiences to create pieces that resonate on a human level. The aim is to redefine how we think about furniture in homes and public spaces, ensuring design meets functional needs while also touching the heart.

She hopes to inspire others to see design as a tool for positive change, creating environments where people feel truly at home. In every project, she explores the intersection of design and emotion, promoting dialogue and understanding. Her journey as a designer is one of continuous learning and growth, always aiming to make a meaningful impact through thoughtful and compassionate design.
