About

A product designer from China, she has been working in this field since her undergraduate degree, and prior to that, she had many years of experience in creating and working with art. Passionate about designing products for minorities and underprivileged groups, she strongly believes in the power of product design to give them a voice and bring about positive change in society.

Graduation design brief:

“Urban Tranquility”,design a space in a park from a feminist perspective, i.e., it is inclusive and provides comfortable access to green public spaces to women who want to spend time out in the city. This designed space emerges from young women’s needs to access the public spaces such that it allows them to spend leisure time like sun bathing, playing on the. Swings and bring in a semi-private zone to unwind at any time of the day. Besides looking at the different elements needed for these activities, the design also considers relooking at the topography of the area to compliment the designed infrastructure. effectively balancing the boundaries between public and private space, in ensuring that can be noticed by the public but will not be disturbed by the area. It is suitable for girls to rest, chat and socialise.
