SiNae Song
About
As a recipient of the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship, SiNae Song has been honoured with the IF Design Student Award and the Seoul Design Award – Research Prize for her projects in MA design products. While studying at the RCA, she has also been working at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a communication and research intern, supporting the SDGs and contributing to a sustainable future.
Her design practice creates a symbiotic collaboration between humankind and nature to address the ecological crises of the Anthropocene epoch. To tackle issues brought by human-centeredness, she believes nurturing a more-than-human perspective can provide a roadmap to a future where multi-species assemblages flourish together. By fostering speculative design scenarios that inspire thinking, engagement, and action toward a connected and integrated future, she challenges traditional design practices exclusively focused on human needs, proposing multi-species design studies that promote a mutually beneficial relationship among all members of our ecosystem.
