About

PEACEMAKER

I started sculpture because the war made me question what are the territories, borders, and countries. Identity originates from traits or attributes that individuals may have little or no control over, such as ethnicity, nationality, or family background. And these artificial definitions create a sense of belonging and discrimination at the same time.

I use sculpture, performance, photography, and text as media to reconstruct collective identities and labels, discuss social rules and alienation, and challenge vague and undetermined boundaries.

Gemut is being, and this is the philosophy I follow. Through my sculptures, I hope to arouse people’s feelings and thoughts, to bring some quiet power to society, and to find some solace for the hearts lost in the absurd.

Red is forbidden, red is love.
