About
” Soul & soil,
Blooms & Brews;
In a Garden of Nature’s Hues,
Where Chamomile’s aroma wafts from simmering cauldrons,
I yearn to toil,
Immersed in Nature’s fragrant embrace. ”
– With love always, El Khemist K.
Where do the colours we wear come from? Where do they end up at the end of the day? To rekindle the veneration for colours that nature has to offer in a world of chemically-derived pigments, Kassandra has built her own colour story onboard the El Khemie, a floating botanical dye vessel with chamomile as the protagonist. She loves it that the faster you can harvest the chamomile flowers, the more you are enabling it to regenerate and bloom again. The debut of the chamomile-dyed coat at RCA Fashion Expo 2024 was a sneak peek into the El Khemist’s world, and more awaits to be revealed. Join Kassandra in this collective dream that perhaps some day, the gentlest yellow that touches our skin could be a gift from a more than beautiful community that has their soul seeded in an undying Garden of Nature’s Hues.
Kassandra is an architecturally trained fashion designer with experience in filmmaking, and a recipient of the Anne Tyrrell Design Award. A real-life version of the El Khemie floating dye vessel was a shortlisted proposal for the Sustainable Markets Initiative’s Terra Carta Design Lab 2024.
