About
“Waiting”
Handcrafted beadwork inspired by window lattices and tears.
Fascinated by the state of “waiting”—a time caught between speaking and silence, trapped within the window yet seeking the hope that lies beyond, uncertain of when it will arrive.
The flowing beads reflect light and sway gently, moving eagerly with the slightest breeze, like tears about to fall but held back by transparent threads. Waiting time feels the same, an agonizingly long stretch as if time has stopped. Yet, it seems to flow with the possibility of what is to come, with the stopwatch of time moving forward while its touch remains trapped and still, lingering.
“Jewelry and Garment”
As a designer, I grew up in my family’s tailor’s workshop in my early years and love to meet my clients directly to understand their design needs.
Through interviews, I identified a common dilemma among fashion-conscious customers: the difficulty of finding a balance between unique, eye-catching designs and practical, versatile clothing. Many customers shy away from overly-designed garments for fear that they will not fit or work easily with their existing wardrobe, and therefore tend to opt for simpler, less unique garments.
Inspired by the adaptability and adaptability of jewellery, which traditionally tends to have a limited impact on the overall look due to its size and placement. Trying to create a middle ground where garments can maintain their uniqueness while still being flexible enough to be paired with everyday outfits, I incorporated the concept of jewellery into the design of the garments, focusing on creating ‘accessory garments’ that enhance the uniqueness of the basic outfit. These accessories not only add a sense of distinction, but also encourage the reuse of old clothes. I want to bring the joy of experimentation and self-discovery to my customers through fashion.
