Graduation Project:

Serpent Ruins Subplot

“Serpent Ruins Subplot” draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese philosophical text, the “Dao De Jing,”particularly the passage: “Dao gives birth to One, One gives birth to Two, Two gives birth to Three, and Three gives birth to all things.” This notion of continuous creation from non-existence profoundly influences the artistic vision of this project. Here, “birth” symbolizes the perpetual emergence of the universe’s forms, embodying a ceaseless cycle of existence.

The project integrates two geometric symbols: fractals and the Ouroboros. Fractals, created using Mandelbulb 3D and refined in Blender, represent infinite magnification and artistic precision. The Ouroboros, a serpent eating its own tail, symbolizes the endless cycle of life and regeneration. Through the reconstruction of Ouroboros and fractal textures, the “Serpent Ruins Fractal Garden” storyboard is generated.
