About

STARSEN KOO Moon, originally from Seoul and now based in London, is an artist exploring the intersection of sculpture and fashion. The focus lies in creating wearable sculptures using techniques such as casting and robotics, which capture and preserve the fluidity of fabrics. This approach transforms garments into sculptural pieces, engaging with concepts of stillness and movement.

‘Moving Sculpture’ investigates the convergence of these two disciplines by treating garments as dynamic sculptures. The project captures fleeting moments of fluid motion within textiles and translates them into static forms or mechanically repeated patterns for contrasting effects. By immobilizing the natural fluidity of fabrics, the work explores the interplay between stillness and movement. ‘Moving Sculpture’ emphasizes the evolving relationship between sculptural form and fashion.
