The White Opium in 2111‘
The work is about the design of a scenario centred on alpine skiing in the face of global warming. Some people call skiing the “white opium”——Seasonal, regional, exciting, and complex, ski enthusiasts can’t get enough of it, and even when they return to the city, they still reminisce about the white energy of skiing. Set in 2111, the snow season is even shorter and scarcer, and the lifespan of ski fashion items that have been sitting around for a long time has been shortened dramatically. In order to bring the charm and energy of the sport back to the city, I created a new snow season urban sports style. At the same time, it also emphasizes the protective style and sense of power.
The design applies a combination of Clo3d and traditional pattern-making techniques, urban style and vintage snowsuits style, resulting in a multi-wearable urban snowsuit design.
